Anu Singh Lather appointed V-C of AUD

Lather is Ambedkar University Delhi’s second V-C, takes over from Shyam B. Menon

Ambedkar University Delhi on Tuesday said that the Directorate of Higher Education has appointed Anu Singh Lather as Vice-Chancellor of the university. Prof. Lather will be AUD’s second Vice-Chancellor taking over from Shyam B. Menon who retired last year.

Prof. Lather was the Pro Vice-Chancellor of Delhi Technological University for the last two years and played a pivotal role in establishing the East Delhi Campus of DTU. Prof. Lather had earlier served as Dean of University School of Management Studies (2008-2014), Director, International Affairs (2009-2017) and was the founder head, Department of Applied Psychology at Guru Jambheshwar University, Hissar, between 1997 and 2000.

Prof. Lather’s field of specialisation is Strategic Human Resource Management, Organisational Behaviour, and Organisational Development and Change Management, Business Communication and Technology and Innovation Management.

Ambedkar University was established in 2007 by Government of the NCT of Delhi and reserves seats specifically for students from the Capital. It has expanded from its Kashmere Gate Campus to the Karampura Campus in 2016-17 and the Lodhi Road Campus in 2017.
