Ambedkar University to hold open house today

To orient students about programmes

Ambedkar University Delhi will organise an interactive event for prospective students on Friday to introduce them to its School of Global Affairs, located at Karampura Campus of the varsity.

The open house is being organised between 10 a.m. and 1.30 p.m. to orient prospective students about programmes being offered by the university.

“The school offers three interdisciplinary undergraduate programmes — BA in sustainable urbanism, BA in global studies and BA in social sciences and humanities — and two postgraduate programmes, which include MA in urban studies and MA in global studies,” the university said.

It added that these BA and MA programmes are gaining currency globally among students who are looking for unconventional courses which are socially and professionally relevant.

AUD said that it was perhaps the only Indian university to offer such programmes and therefore was providing an opportunity for students to come acquaint themselves about the same.

AUD’s undergraduate programmes at Karampura Campus aim to offer its students a unique liberal arts education that acquaints them with diverse approaches to knowledge, the university also said.

It said that its programmes encourage students to think critically and creatively, to analyse and reason, to communicate effectively, and to draw evidence-based conclusions.
