Unfortunate for democracy not to call a three-time CM for an opinion on the important subject, says Sanjay Singh

Not giving the country the “correct information” on the ongoing border dispute with China was a “big betrayal” of the country, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Rajya Sabha member Sanjay Singh said at a press conference here on Friday.

He has already made his displeasure at the AAP not being invited to an all-party meeting called by the Prime Minister on the issue.

Mr. Singh asked why the Union government “hid information” on casualties at the Galwan valley from the country. “The Central government will have to answer this. The sacrifice of our soldiers should not go in vain. The Government of India should avenge the martyrdom of our soldiers,” he said.

“The sacrifice of the heroes of India demands the Government of India to immediately take back the land that China has acquired from it... At this time we are all with the government. The positions prior to April 1 should be regained,” he stated.

Mr. Singh questioned the decision to include only political parties with five MPs in the all-party meet.

How could a party which had a three-time Chief Minister of the Capital of the country as its leader be excluded from the goings-on in this respect, he asked.

“The BJP government at the Centre should take everyone along on a serious issue like national security,” he said. “It is unfortunate for democracy not to call a three-time Chief Minister for an opinion on this important subject,” he added.
