AAP legislator booked

November 23, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 05:33 am IST - New Delhi:

The AAP legislator from Rohtash Nagar, Sarita Singh, has been booked for allegedly threatening a policeman in North-East Delhi’s Bhajanpura on Sunday. Her driver, meanwhile, has been booked for rash driving.

The MLA was going to attend a wedding when an argument over her car brushing past a motorcycle drew the attention of a policeman. Police said that SI Om Pal Singh asked the MLA’s driver to move the car to a parking lot to avoid parking problems, after which Ms. Singh allegedly misbehaved with him. The incident was captured by a bystander on his phone.

The MLA, however, rubbished the police’s claims and asked why the entire footage was not released.
