The Aam Admi Party members along with its MLAs held a rally at Jantar Mantar protesting against the BJP, demanding resignation of Union Ministers Sushma Swaraj, Smriti Irani and Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje, and Prime Minister’s silence on the issue. The protestors from Jantar Mantar marched towards the Parliament, but were stopped by police near the Parliament street police station.
Led by AAP’s Delhi convener Dilip Pandey, the protesters raised slogans against the BJP leaders and also against Pankaja Munde for her alleged involvement in a “Rs. 200 crore scam”.
“Modiji is silent out of compulsion as Raje has put up a display of strength of 110 MLAs, which has scared Modi,” said Mr Pandey.
He said Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s inaction would “cost BJP heavy” just as the Congress “had paid” for former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh’s silence.
