The Aam Aadmi Party on Thursday attacked the BJP for making “false” promise to the people of Delhi on regularisation of unauthorised colonies within six months.

Addressing a press conference, chief spokesperson of AAP Saurabh Bharadwaj said that in July, Union Minister Hardeep Puri had said that the Centre can regularise the unauthorised colonies. “They have said that the Centre will do it within a month and now they cannot say that Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal did not allow them to work on the matter,” he added.

‘Dhoka Diwas’

“This promise was as fake as the promise of stopping the sealing drive in the national capital. Before September 22, when Manoj Tiwari [BJP Delhi chief] will visit the unauthorised colonies, AAP will reach out to the people of these colonies a day before and observe “Dhoka Diwas” and tell people about the fake promises of the BJP. We will tell the people the reality so that next day they can ask the questions to Mr. Tiwari,” Mr. Bharadwaj said.
