A slight cloud cover kept the city warmer than usual this morning with the minimum temperature remaining above the 11 degree mark for the second successive day.

The minimum temperature was recorded at 11.2 degree Celsius, which is three degrees above normal. The minimum was recorded at 11.7 degrees yesterday, while it was 10.4 degrees on Thursday.

A slight cloud cover has been keeping the minimum temperature above the normal level in the last couple of days, the MeT office said.

A thin layer of fog also engulfed the city early in the morning with the visibility reducing to 400 metres.

However, there was no disruption of flight schedule.

The Met department forecast a misty and foggy morning tomorrow with the minimum and maximum temperatures expected to be around 11 and 24 degrees Celsius respectively.

During the past week, the temperature in the city has been oscillating between eight and 25 degrees Celsius.

The season’s lowest of 7.9 degree Celsius was recorded on November 28, which was also the lowest for the month of November in the past three years.
