Helpline numbers

Parents can also use the DoE helpline numbers 8800355192 or 8800355146 and citizens grievance portal http://doepvt.delhi.gov.in/ for any help.

“The DoE on Tuesday announced admissions under Section 12(1)(c) of the Right to Education Act that mandates 25 per cent reservation in entry class of private unaided non-minority schools for children belonging to EWS and Socially Disadvantaged Groups,” an official said.

Lottery for transparency

He explained that for schools recognised under the Delhi School Education Act, admissions will be conducted online and a centralised lottery to bring in transparency and accountability since this process eliminates any interference of private schools during the admission process.

“Nearly 28,000 students in 1,158 schools stand to benefit from this. To avoid any duplication of admission, the department has made Aadhaar ID mandatory which will curb any attempt to have unfair advantage of admission by means of multiple applications,” he added.
