: The Delhi Police will question the staff members of a pub in south Delhi’s Hauz Khas village in connection with a case where a 30-year-old man died under mysterious circumstances during New Year celebrations at the club.

The deceased, Deepak Tandon, allegedly hit himself with a beer bottle at the club. He was taken to Safdarjung Hospital, where he died due to excessive bleeding. His friends who had accompanied him, however, alleged that he was attacked by the bouncers in the pub. Preliminary investigation revealed that a Deepak had had a brawl with the club’s DJ and bouncers a few minutes before the incident.

“The autopsy report is awaited. Doubts have been raised over how a man of a substantial physical stature died because of a single blow of a beer bottle,” said Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (South) -I Chinmoy Biswal.
