7-year-old boy found dead in Jaffrabad; probe under way

Found entangled in a dupatta: police

A 7-year-old boy was found dead under mysterious circumstances at his residence in north-east Delhi's Jaffrabad on Monday, the police said.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (North-East) Atul Thakur said the deceased has been identified as Adeeb, resident of Maujpur.

“It has been informed that he was playing on the terrace with a dupatta and was found entangled in it. The parents have not alleged any foul play or suspicion. The cause of death will be established after the post-mortem report," Mr. Thakur said.

The police said they had received information from Jag Pravesh Chandra Hospital around 6 p.m. stating that a child has been brought dead.
