4 held for killing man

Senior citizen beaten to death in Dec

Four persons have been arrested for allegedly beating a senior citizen to death on December 27 last year, the police said on Wednesday.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (Crime Branch) Bhisham Singh said Sandeep Sehrawat alias Kotilya (34), Satish alias Deepak Pandit (34), Sanjeev alias Neeru (34) and Sonu alias Chiranji Lal alias Mannu (22)were arrested for allegedly beating Chandresh Ram to death with baseball bats. Two others, Jaswant alias Pappu, and Manjeet Dabas, were arrested earlier. Sandeep and Satish were released on bail on December 27 in a case registered under the Arms Act. The accused were celebrating at their office in Harphool Vihar in Baprola. “They got drunk and started misbehaving with the locals. When the residents resisted, they started beating them with sticks and baseball bats. Mr. Ram succumbed to injuries while others suffered injuries,” he said.
