36 teenage boys escape from juvenile home

September 09, 2009 04:35 pm | Updated 04:35 pm IST - New Delhi:

Thirty six teenage boys fled from a juvenile home in Mukherjee Nagar area here on Wednesday, police said. “The incident took place around 5 in the morning at a ‘ Bal Sudhar Grah ’ (juvenile home) when a truck arrived to deliver milk. They attacked the security guard and fled from the place,” Deputy Commissioner of Police (North-West) N.S. Bundela told IANS .

“We are investigating and efforts are on to trace them,” Bundela said.

In May, 36 inmates had escaped from the same juvenile home. A group of inmates demanded that food be cooked inside the home and no homemade food be allowed while the other group asked that the food made by the parents of inmates should be allowed.

They had a heated argument over it that led to a scuffle after which the children escaped.
