The Delhi police have arrested two men for allegedly gang-raping a 25-year-old woman in west Delhi’s Hari Nagar while she was heading home from her workplace, officers said on Friday.
The police said the incident occurred late on Wednesday when the woman was returning from a factory she worked at. She was accosted by two men who dragged her to a nearby slum and allegedly gang-raped her throughout the night, officers said.
According to police, a case has been lodged against the two accused under IPC sections pertaining to rape and outraging the modesty of a woman were lodged.
One of the accused persons used to work at the same factory as the victim, the police added.
