The Delhi government on Wednesday awarded excellence awards to 196 students of Class X and XII, including specially abled students, and honoured 27 achiever schools with cash prizes. SKV, Ramesh Nagar zone-16 of West A district was given the State best school award.

Addressing the gathering, Deputy CM Manish Sisodia said, “Today leaders across the globe are curious about what is going on in Delhi’s education and that is because of the hard work of the students and teachers. India’s top notch institutes cater only to 5% of population. We want to ensure that 100% of our children receive quality education.”

He added that initiatives of Delhi government namely happiness curriculum and entrepreneurship curriculum would deal with the problem of unemployment and become job givers instead of a job seekers. “ A job seeking economy can never compete with a job provider economy. No country can become a superpower if the youth are majorly job seekers. We are about to roll out entrepreneurship curriculum from next session onwards ”.
