A scan centre employee committed suicide by consuming poison at his residence on Thursday. The Gandhipuram police said that Nagaraj, 20, of Bodi, Theni district, resorted to the extreme step after he lost his salary, which he had kept in a cover. The police have registered a case in this connection.
Three arrested
Based a complaint from a 29-year-old woman, the city police have arrested her husband and two in-laws. The police said that Anita Priya of R.S. Puram had complained that following her accident, her husband of four years John Rajkumar and parents-in-law were harassing her money to meet the cost of treatment.
Following the complaint the police registered a case and arrested Rajkumar, his mother Jeeva Santhi and father Ayyavu.
