World Migratory Bird Day to be celebrated

Environment Conservation Group, a non-governmental organisation, will conduct a nature camp at Anamalai Tiger Reserve and Paramabikulam Tiger Reserve on May 10 and 11 to mark the World Migratory Bird Day

Birding, lectures by experts on forests and their importance, birds and need to conserve them will be held along with jungle safari, visits to the elephant camps, bamboo rafting, tribal dance and treks.

According to a press release, Top Slip and Parambikulam are recognised globally as important habitats for the conservation of birds and is home to many bird species endemic to Western Ghats.
