Workers stage road blockade on Tirupur-Kangayam road

M. Ramasamy (35), a head load worker employed at a Tamil Nadu Civil Supplies Corporation godown situated along Tirupur-Kangayam road, died after he fell down while carrying a bag containing sugar on the godown premises.

The members of the All India Central Council of Trade Unions staged a road blockade on Wednesday demanding disbursal of Rs 10 lakh as compensation to the kin of the deceased as well as job for a member of the family.
