Worker gets certificates from employer

The District Legal Service Authority (DLSA) helped a 52-year-old person, who was employed at a rice mill in Pollachi, get his certificates from the employer. G. Annadurai of Gujanganur near Karamadai was working in the mill for about 29 years and left the job on health grounds.

He faced difficulty in getting pension, experience certificate, ESI card and provident fund slips even months after he left the job. In a recent free legal aid camp, he petitioned his grievance to P. Suresh Kumar, Chairman of the District Munsif-cum-Judicial Magistrate of Taluk Legal Service Committee of Mettupalayam.

On the Magistrate’s direction, a notice was served on the company, to appear before the DLSA to settle the issue.

Last week, a staff of the company and the petitioner appeared before the DLSA and legal aid panel advocate R. Palanisamy enquired both sides and the company paid him pension and also returned his certificates.
