Woman commits suicide

Angalaeswari (32) of Vettaikaranppudur, near Anamalai, reportedly ended her life by consuming poison at her house on Saturday after her husband is said to have refused to spend money for their daughter’s birthday on that day.

Police sources said that Angalaeswari married Pilivandas (32), six years ago. She consumed poison as her husband could not spend for their daughter Akshaya’s birthday.

She was rushed to a hospital at Vettaikaranppudur and referred to Coimbatore Medical College Hospital, but she died on the way the same night.
