Reddiarpatti V. Narayanan, who won the Nanguneri byelection visited Chief Minister Edappadi K. Palaniswami at his residence in Salem on Friday and sought his blessings.

Mr. Naryanan presented a bouquet to Chief Minister thanking him for the victory and touched his feet. Minister for Law C.V. Shanmugham and Minister for Higher Education K.P. Anbazhagan were present.

Campaign

Mr. Naryanan told presspersons, “the campaign by the Chief Minister and the Deputy Chief Minister, coalition leaders and cadres led to this huge victory.” He added that though the Congress won in the Parliament elections, the faith people had in the AIADMK government led to this victory. He said that people voted without hatred (Veruppu) and with will (Viruppam) for this government. Mr. Narayanan said that the party would win in local body elections and next Assembly elections.

Senior Amma Makkal Munnetra Kazhagam functionary Pugazhenthi also visited Mr. Palaniswami at his residence on Friday.

Mr. Pugazhenthi said that he went to congratulate the Chief Minister following AIADMK’s win in by-elections.
