How about a forced ‘pleasure tour’ through the integrated court complex here if you care not to wear helmet? Wear a helmet or endure a police escorted excursion through the campus of the integrated court complex.

That seemed to be the message sent out by the district police here, as 70 helmet rule violators were huddled together inside a police van only for a pleasure tour to the integrated court complex.

The police van with a banner upfront announcing a pleasure tour to the integrated court complex exclusively for those caught without a helmet made its way through the streets of the town to the court complex. The banner listing out the various court buildings inside the campus, was a bid to create awareness once again to those recalcitrant vehicle riders that insist on riding without helmets.

The purpose of the novel enforcement initiative was to give a feel of what the court experience was likely to be in terms of time and money if one were to get caught for not wearing a helmet and face a case. The police here have taken to various enforcement tactics to make compliance a win-win process for all the stakeholders concerned.

Awareness rallies and helmet rally by students and police on the one hand, the police had earlier taken to asking violators write down an apology letter for not wearing a helmet.

Now, the latest is the pleasure tour to that place, where one is bound to land for violating the law.
