Water discharge from Mettur dam reduced to 8,000 cusecs

The water discharged from Mettur Dam for delta irrigation reduced to 8,000 cusecs on Monday.

The dam’s water level stood at 106.02 feet, against its full capacity of 120 feet. The storage level stood at 72.86 tmc ft, against its full capacity of 93.47 tmc ft. Inflow into the dam increased to 847 cusecs from Sunday’s inflow of 824 cusecs. The amount of water discharged into River Cauvery through the dam and powerhouse tunnel is reduced from 10,000 cusecs to 8,000 cusecs.
