A day after a Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation (TNSTC) bus driver failed to drop students at the intended place, officials said here on Tuesday that the driver and conductor were likely to face suspension.

Five girl students boarded the bus on Monday evening and asked the driver to drop them at Mangalampalayam. The driver did not stop at Mangalampalayam and asked the students to get down at another stop.

This led to an argument between the students and the bus driver, following which he drove all the way to Palani Bus Stand and asked the girls to get down there.

Officials arranged another bus for the students to reach Mangalampalayam. The driver and conductor were not allowed to work on Tuesday and they would possibly face transfer after their suspension periods end, officials said.
