TNSTC announces special buses to clear Deepavali rush

To clear rush ahead of Deepavali, the Coimbatore Division of the Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation (TNSTC) has announced 2,872 special buses from Coimbatore and Tiruppur from October 24 to 30.

According to a press release issued on Monday, a total of 158 buses will leave Coimbatore on October 24 - six buses to Chennai, 53 to Madurai, 41 to Tiruchi, 21 to Theni and 37 to Salem. From Udhagamandalam, two buses will leave for Chennai. Similarly, 148 buses will leave Tiruppur - one bus to Chennai, 35 buses to Madurai, 35 to Tiruchi, 17 to Theni and 60 to Salem. A total of five buses will ply between Erode and Chennai on October 24.

On October 25, a total of 323 buses will leave Coimbatore. From Udhagamandalam, two buses will leave for Chennai. As many as 378 buses will leave Tiruppur on October 25. Between Erode and Chennai, 12 buses will ply on October 25.

A total of 367 buses will leave Coimbatore on October 26 - three buses to Chennai, 153 to Madurai, 88 to Tiruchi, 61 to Theni and 62 to Salem. Similarly, 497 buses will leave Tiruppur - two buses to Chennai, 145 buses to Madurai, 145 to Tiruchi, 70 to Theni and 135 to Salem. A total of 10 buses will ply between Erode and Chennai on October 26.

On the day of Deepavali (October 27), 78 buses will be operated from Coimbatore to Madurai, Tiruchi, Theni and Salem. From Tiruppur, 79 buses will be operated to Chennai, Madurai, Tiruchi, Theni and Salem. A total of five buses from Erode and one bus from Udhagamandalam will leave for Chennai. On October 28, 29 and 30, a total of 338, 277, and 192 buses respectively will be operated from Coimbatore, Tiruppur, Erode and Udhagamandalam to Chennai, Madurai, Tiruchi, Theni and Salem.
