The police have arrested a man along with his mother and brother on the charge of harassing his wife who is hearing and speech impaired since birth.
According to the police, Sakthivel (45) of Muthugoundanpudur near Kinathukadavu married the woman on January 23, 2013 at the Subramania Swamy Temple in Pollachi. However, after six months, he allegedly began harassing her along with his family members and sent her back to her parents’ house.
Following this, the woman’s father approached the court.
Following a direction from the Judicial Magistrate (I) at Pollachi, the All Women Police Station at Perur registered a case. Further investigations are on.
