Living Spaces - 2018, a three-day property expo presented by The Hindu Group, took off at Codissia Trade Fair Complex on Friday.

Inaugurating the fair, Surender Vittal, president of Confederation of Real Estate Developers’ Associations of India (CREDAI) - Coimbatore, said the property market was reviving.

For instance, the time taken for enquiries to convert into purchase has reduced with the market picking up. The rates for commercial space has increased in the city. The banks have also relaxed the norms for home loans and this is supporting revival of demand for houses.

The CREDAI has a stall at the fair where visitors can write their queries related to property purchase and put it in the drop box. These will be addressed by the Confederation.

The properties on display include upcoming and completed ones in different segments such as retirement communities, villas, and apartments.

The property expo is on from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. till Sunday.

The participants at the event are: Casagrand, TVH, Nivasan Homes, Town and City Developers, Srivari, Aura, Lavik Estates, North Point, Sharon Plywood, VSK Housing India, Shri Kubera Parivar, Purvankara, Hiranandani Communities, Provident, Sakthi Elegant Towers and State Bank of India.
