Bollywood stars Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone, who entered into wedlock at the Villa del Balbianello on Lake Como in Italy on November 14 and 15, sprang a sweet surprise on their friends and relatives by sending a personalised thank you note and a box of mysurpa.
The mysurpa was from Coimbatore-based Sri Krishna Sweets. Neither the sweet manufacturer in Coimbatore nor their branch had any clue about their mysurpa becoming a return gift at the star wedding in Italy.
Bollywood stars, celebrities, and friends received a personalised thank you note from the couple along with a box of Sri Krishna Sweets mysurpa.
Celebrities had tweeted about the personalised greeting and the mouth-watering mysurpa.
The sweet manufacturer and their branch in Bengaluru came to know of it only after the videos and tweets went viral.
It was then that they realised that the order placed by an event management firm with its Malleshwaram branch of Krishna Sweets was for the star wedding.
“A bulk order was handled by our Bengaluru branch for a celebrity wedding. We learned through the media that Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone had shared the sweet with the celebrities on their wedding. We bless and thank the lovely couple for having chosen our mysurpa to display their bond of love,” M. Krishnan, founder, Sri Krishna Sweets, said.
