About 70 students from 13 schools are taking part in a ‘Nurture Nature’ camp here to learn about Nature conservation and management of natural resources.

Organised by Siruthuli and Rotary Club of Coimbatore, the camp was inaugurated by Collector G.S. Sameeran at a function held under the shades of “Pachai Nayaki”, a tree planted by former President Abdul Kalam at VOC Park recently.

Sujani Balu, convenor, said the students would be taken to water bodies and agricultural lands and they would take part in a quiz on the concluding day on April 22.

Since the start of the camp, the participants learnt about water resources management, afforestation, waste management, the western ghats and afforestation and visited some of the Nature hot spots here. On the final day, they would visit the water bodies that were rejuvenated by Siruthuli.
