October 19, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 05:32 am IST - COIMBATORE:

B. Sakthi of Elampillai in Salem District, a third year civil engineering student at SNS College of Technology, made attempts to enter the Guinness Book of Records on Sunday by making the most number of backward body skips. He made this attempt for the most number of skips (with hands tied) in 30 second and in one minute, respectively, at Brookefields Mal. He tried to break the records set by an Australian earlier this year. The present record holder made 20 and 40 back skips in 30 seconds and 60 seconds, respectively.

With a wave of support, Sakthi made 28 back skips in 30 seconds and 47 back skips in 60 seconds.

Along with supportive documents they were sent to Guinness World Records, London.

Result for successfully entering the record book is expected in about a week.
