Speciality hospital to come up in Annur to mark Adigalar’s birthday

A 100-bed speciality hospital costing Rs. 20 crore will come up at Mudalipalayam, near Ganesapuram, in Annur to mark the 91st birthday of Thavathiru Santhalinga Ramasamy Adigalar. The celebrations will be held for three days from October 8.

The hospital will be constructed by a trust made up of S.V. Balasubramaniam, Chairman, Bannari Amman Group of Companies, M. Manickam, Chairman, Sakthi Group of Companies, Dr. Nalla G Palaniswami, Chairman, Kovai Medical Center and Hospital, J.G. Shanmuganathan, Chairman of Ganga Hospital, O. Arumugasamy, Chairman, Senthil Group of Companies and K. Ramasamy, Chairman, Roots Group of Companies. The five-acre land for the hospital is donated in memory of Theivathiru Velusami Goundar.

On October 8, there will be chanting of Thiruvasaga and inauguration of Santhalingar Kudil (guest house) by Mauritius Minister Swaminathan. There will also be a conference on Veera Saivism to be inaugurated by Mysore Suthur Mutt Jagathguru Thesikendhira Maha Swamigal. Mailam Pomapura Aadheenam and Union Minister Pon Radhakrishnan will be present.

On October 9, there will be special pujas besides a seminar on Tamilneri to be inaugurated by Governor of Meghalaya V. Shanmuganathan. Siravai Aadheenam. Palani Aadheenam and former CBI Director D.R. Karthikeyan will take part.

On October 10, there will be a “Kaviarangam” on Adigalar besides inauguration of Peruraadheenam Adigalar’s Medical Foundation by Thiruvavaduthurai Aadheena Gurumaha Sannidhaanangal.
