Special fare train to clear extra rush

The Railways will operate a special fare special train from Coimbatore to Jabalpur to clear the extra rush during the festival season.

An official press release of the Salem Railway Division issued here on Tuesday said that the train No. 02197 Coimbatore – Jabalpur special fare special train will leave Coimbatore at 7.05 p.m. on all Mondays in the months of November and December (November 5, 12, 19, 26 and December 3, 10, 17, 24 and 31) and will reach Jabalpur at 10.20 a.m. on the third day.

The composition of the train is AC 2-tier cum AC 3-tier – 1, AC 2-tier – 2, AC 3-tier – 2, sleeper class – 10, luggage-cum-brake van – 2 coaches.

The train will halt at Palakkad, Shoranur, Tirur, Kozhikkode, Vadakara, Thalassery, Kannur, Payyanur, Khanhangad, Mangaluru junction, Mulki, Udupi, Kundapura, Mookambika Road Byndoor, Kumta, Karwar, Madgoan, Thivim, Kudal, Kankavali, Ratnagiri, Chiplun, Khed, Roha, Panvel, Igatpuri, Manmad, Bhusaval, Khanwa, Harda, Itarsi, Pipariya, Gadarwara, and Narsinghpur. Advance reservation for this train is already open, the release said.
