Shaastra Spark quiz on July 13

Shaastra – 2020, the annual technical festival of Indian Institute of Technology – Madras (IIT-M), will conduct the preliminary round of Spark, its national quizzing event, in Coimbatore on July 13.

According to a press release, the preliminary round will be held at Suguna Pip School at Nehru Nagar West. Students from Classes VIII to XII can participate in teams of two and the quiz will be based on topics such as science, mathematics, technology, general knowledge and logic.

The team members are not required to belong to the same class, branch or school. During the competition, the participants are requested to carry a valid school identity card, the release said. The preliminary round is expected to garner more than 4,000 participants. The top five teams from each city will qualify for the national screening round. Top 25 teams from the screening round, will qualify for the final round at IIT-M. The top three teams at the finals will be declared as the national winners.
