Sexual abuse case: Pollachi Jayaraman denies allegations

Tamil Nadu Deputy Speaker Pollachi V. Jayaraman denied all the allegations against him and his family regarding the Pollachi sexual abuse case.

Speaking to the mediapersons at the airport here on Tuesday night, Mr. Jayaraman said, “There is no evidence for the allegations made against me and members of my family. We help those who are affected and nobody will be affected by us.”

Rumours

Denying the rumours that his sons have fled the country, Mr. Jayaraman said, “They are here, minding their work as they always do. Hence, do not thrust such allegations on us without any evidence.”

Meanwhile, 350 policemen have been deployed in Pollachi to monitor the situation. Major areas, including New Scheme Road, Gandhi Statue and Coimbatore Road are under surveillance. On Tuesday, 750 policemen were deployed as Pollachi observed a total commercial shutdown.
