Search on for man who stole Rs. 78 lakh

The District Crime Branch unit of the Coimbatore Rural Police are on the look out for V. Vinodh Kumar of Nehru Nagar, Saravanampatti, on charges of duping his employer and a contract bank of Rs. 78 lakh.

According to the police sources, Kumar, who worked for Writer Safe Guard Pvt. Ltd., siphoned off the money he was given to refill ATMs of a nationalised bank.

PIN changed

He had also changed the PIN of four ATMs in Narasimhanaickenpalayam, Karamadai, Annur and Kovilmedu, opened the machines without authorisation and took away cash.

Complaint

The representative of the company A. Vaisakh, Branch Manager, had lodged a complaint in this regard, the police said and added that they had invoked provisions of criminal breach of trust and cheating against Kumar and were on the lookout for him.
