Residents of P.N. Pudur have asked the Coimbatore Corporation to restore the width of the Seeranaickenpalayam road.

In a release, T.V. Kalyanakrishnan of Nethaji Road says that after completing the storm water drain work a few months ago, the Corporation has taken up laying underground drainage pipes.

The Seeranaickenpalayam Road is 33 ft wide as per records. But the width had been reduced to 22 ft to 25 ft at many places. Sadly, the Corporation had not taken care to restore the width while undertaking storm water drain work. It had not marked the road boundary, either. It should, at least now, ensure that the road was free of encroachments.

The Corporation, in this regard, would have a chance to do so when it would relay the road after the UGD work was complete.
