Protest staged

As part of the call given by the Joint Action Council of Tamil Nadu Income Tax Employees Federation and Income Tax Gazetted Officers’ Association, the employees of Income Tax Department staged a protest here on Thursday afternoon demanding infrastructure facility to all officers and staff, finalising and notifying all recruitment rules of Group B and Group C officers immediately, regularising all casual and daily paid workers against MTS posts who are completing 10 years of service, promoting those in the cadre of ACIT for all regular and CRC vacancies and filling up all vacant posts to stop outsourcing of regular office work.

According to a press release, as per the Central JCA call, the associations had jointly organised agitations to highlight the demands.
