Police invite complaints from cheated investors

Who have deposited money in the company but had not got back their investment, could prefer a complaint with the Wing police between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. on all working days.

The Economic Offences Wing of the Coimbatore City Police has invited complaints from investors, who have been cheated by Sri Saraswathy Commodity Trader.

A release from the Inspector of the wing says that he/she has been pursuing a case against the company and its proprietor Babu Rajkumar under provisions of 'The Tamil Nadu Protection of Interests of Depositors (In Financial Establishments) Act -1997 and Indian Penal Code. Those investors from Coimbatore, Tirupur and the Nilgris district, who have deposited money in the company but had not got back their investment, could prefer a complaint with the Wing police between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. on all working days.

The police have also invited to their office those investors who had deposited money in Jagadhambikai Finance. The EOW police, in another release, say that the promoters of the company have reached a compromise under provision 5A of the Tamil Nadu Protection of Interests of Depositors Act – 1997 and returned Rs. 3.03 lakh to 10 depositors.

Those depositors in Coimbatore, Tirupur and the Nilgris, who have not received their deposits, could approach the EOW office at the Coimbatore police commissionerate between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. on all working days.
