The Tamil Nadu Tasmac Employees Association has urged the government to redeploy excess workers at Tasmac shops.

A resolution was passed at the State executive committee meeting of the association.

The association said that illegal bars were being run near to Tasmac shops with the support of officials, and politicians.

As crimes against Tasmac employees were increasing, they should be given training in self defence, and should be provided guns.

All retiring employees should be given a special fund of ₹10 lakh, and a monthly pension of ₹ 10,000.

N. Periyasami, president of the association presided over the meeting.
