Thirty-year-old Baiju.K, a welder from Kerala, cycled 300 km from Kannur to Doddabetta. He thought it was the perfect opportunity to draw young people’s attention to environment issues.

Baiju began his marathon expedition in Kannur on Saturday, August 15 and reached Doddabetta in the Nilgiris on Monday morning. He started cycling back to Kannur the same day.

This is Baiju’s first such expedition. The aim is to inspire the youth on issues such as environment and secularism, he says. He plans the next expedition on bike from Kanyakumari to Ladakh. He will go on a month-long tour, covering 6,500 km by bike.
