Official conducts inspection following boy’s death at hospital

A six-year-old male child Ajay Kiruthik, son of Silambarasan and Kalaiselvi of Vettaikaranpudur Arivoli Nagar, near Anamalai, died at the Pollachi Government Hospital.

Complaint

Following a complaint from the parents that the child died of a mysterious fever, joint director of Health Services Sridhar took up an inspection.

According to the parents, the boy was admitted to the Vettaikaranpudur Government Hospital.

However, following no improvement in health of the boy even after five days, he was shifted to Pollachi GH and the boy died on October 14. Investigations are on.
