Urging the district administration to take steps to provide drinking water and power supply to their households in Vinoba Nagar in Vadugapatti Village, near Arachalur, residents of the area submitted a petition to District Collector here on Monday.
Their petition said that they are residing in the area for 10 years without drinking water supply and also electricity.
They said that receipts for paying house tax was also not provided to them in all these years affecting the people. They added that they had submitted 10 petitions to the authorities concerned in all these years seeking the facility. No action was taken so far, they added.
The petition said that without drinking water and power supply, they have to purchase water from the market and also from nearby streets. Without electricity, our life is in dark, they added. They urge the administration to consider their request and take necessary action.
