As part of dengue awareness activity, members of Erode Tax Payers People Welfare Association distributed Nilavembu Kashayam to the public near temples in the city.

The Kashayam was distributed near the Eswaran Kovil, Perumal Kovil and at the Corporation Elementary School at Kamaraj Street. Awareness pamphlets on dengue, symptoms and treatment methods were distributed to the public. The public were asked to keep their premises clean and not allow stagnation of water inside and outside their homes.

They also asked the people to co-operate with the conservancy workers when they visit their homes for fogging and adding anti-repellents in the water tanks.
