Money exchange counter inaugurated at airport

Coimbatore International Airport got its first money exchange counter on Sunday.

Airport Director G. Prakash Reddy inaugurated two counters set up by Centrum Direct Limited, one each at the arrival and departure sections of the airport’s terminals.

The airport has two international flights that connect Coimbatore to Dubai and Singapore. Passengers from here are taking connecting flights to Chennai, Mumbai and other international airports to take an international flight

Assistant Vice President of the firm J. Jayaprakash said that they have seen many such travellers from Coimbatore getting currencies exchanged in those airports. It was the reason behind opening counters here. Travellers could get their rupees exchanged to 36 different currencies and vice versa at the counters.
