Last meeting of Hosur Municipal Council held

The last meeting of the Hosur Municipality ended cordially on Thursday.

N.S. Madheswaran, Chairman in-charge, presided over the meeting and explained the works including construction of modern crematorium, establishing the new Appavu Pillai bus stand at over Rs. 10 crore, and construction of indoor stadium undertaken during the last five years.

He also said that once the Hogenakkal Drinking Water and Fluorosis Mitigation Scheme was implemented, water problem in the district would be solved.

Some members said that the free colour television sets were not distributed in their wards while some others complained about the drinking water pipeline work pending.

Members Yuvaraj, district secretary, DMK youth wing, Vijay Kumar, DMK town secretary, Hosur, and K.G. Prakash of Congress thanked the councillors for their cooperation in implementing the development works in the municipality.
