Kite flying has always been a favourite pastime for the people. Here in the city, hundreds of kite flyers enjoyed the traditional sports for the third year in a row at the 3rd International Kite festival organised by a real estate firm on Saturday.

The two-day event began on the Vyoma campus of the Diamond City Developers on Sundapalayam Road off R.S. Puram.

The morning session was held from 7.30 a.m. to 10 a.m. and the evening sessions took place between 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.

The vanishing traditional sport was revived for the benefit of the kite lovers. Urbanisation and space deficit was the reason for the sports to vanish.

Colourful kites of different sizes were distributed to kite lovers gathered early in the morning. Professional kite flyers hailing from Bengaluru were seen giving tips to the kite flyers.

The event attracted people from all ages and various walks of life.

The festival will conclude on Sunday evening. For, details contact James at 96268 55583.
