Inflow at Bhavani Sagar Reservoir drops

The inflow at Bhavani Sagar Reservoir has dropped to 5,046 cusecs while the reservoir level continues to be at 101.99 feet against the full reservoir level of 105 feet on Thursday.

At 9 a.m., the storage was 30.309 tmc against the capacity of 32.800 tmc while 3,600 cusecs is discharged into the river and 1,400 cusecs into the canal.

Officials of the Public Works Department said that the inflow that was over 12,000 cusecs on Wednesday dropped due to decrease in rainfall in the catchment areas.

Since there is heavy flow of water at Kodiveri anicut, ban on bathing and fishing continues for the fifth consecutive day.
