Town Planning officials of the Coimbatore Corporation on Thursday removed hoarding across the city.

According to sources, teams led by Town Planning Officer in-charge S. Ravichandran went around the city removing 160 hoarding from Avinashi Road, Mettupalayam Road, and Marudhamalai Road.

The hoarding included big ones atop buildings, the sources said.

Corporation Commissioner K. Vijayakarthikeyan heads a monitoring committee to remove unauthorised signboards, and advertisement boards.The Corporation would continue the drive.
