Pudhiya Tamilagam has reiterated its demand for a Central Bureau of Investigation into the murder of Dalit youth Gokulraj.

In a press meet in Coimbatore on Friday, the party leader K. Krishnasamy said that the pace of progress and the interest shown by the Tamil Nadu Police did not bring about confidence in the public.

The Government should therefore ask for a CBI probe to bring out the truth.

He called for a thorough probe in the case where a mill owner in Palladam raped his employee’s daughter as the latter took time to repay the Rs. 60,000 he had borrowed.

Mr. Krishnasamy urged the State Government to implement Rs. 301 as the daily wage for plantation workers by taking a cue from the Kerala Government, where the workers had agreed to the wage.
