A 3D laparoscopic workshop on Gynaecology was held here on Sunday at the GEM Hospital and Research Centre.
According to a press release, the Hospital director C. Palanivelu demonstrated 3D laparoscopic hysterectomy, and myomectomy.
During the workshop Dr. Kurein Joseph from Chennai delivered the GEM silver jubilee oration to commemorate the hospital's 25 years of service in Gynaecology and Gasteroenterology.
K. Vijaya Karthikeyan, Commissioner of Coimbatore Corporation, and P. Sudhakar, Superintendent of Police, spoke. As part of an awareness programme being held alongside this workshop, GEM hospital was offering free consultation between 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. from January 5 to 10.
