Govt. nod to improve infrastructure facilities in schools

The State Government has accorded administrative sanction for ₹ 200.18 crore to improve infrastructure facilities of 111 government high and higher secondary schools across the district under the Rural Infrastructure Development Fund XXIV of National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD). The Government had issued a GO in this connection recently.

As many as 885 class rooms, including staircase and ramps, 111 laboratories, drinking water facilities for 104 schools, 104 toilets and compound wall would be created, the order said.

A maximum of 10 schools in Dharmapuri, five in Erode, four in Krishnagiri, two each in Kanniyakumari, Karur, Coimbatore, Cuddalore districts and one each in Kancheepuram, Dindigul and Ariyalur districts will get improved infrastructure.
